Beach Lifeguard qualifications are offered by two awarding bodies in the UK. The RLSS and SLSGB. Both awards are recognised throughout the world.
As I think have mentioned before there are two ways to get your Beach Lifeguard award. The first is to join your local surf lifesaving club. You should be able to training weekly with your local club and work towards getting your qualification.
The alternative is to do an intensive course. This is normally 6 or 7 days long. There are various companies that run these courses across the UK, most are based in the good old southwest. Occasionally the RNLI run courses to help to increase the number of qualified Beach Lifeguards there are.
